Catch Up Post- Day 5- Dance like no one is watching!

Saturday was an inspirational day for me. I got to enjoy an amazing photo shot for one of the coolest girls I know. Not only was the photographer one of my favorite people, the other "models" was also a group of intelligent, beautiful, and funny girls. And that is always a reason to be inspired. Then, I was blessed to enjoy an evening of dancing with two of my best friends. Nashville has this amazing Saturday night opportunity called Dancing in the Park. At Dancing in the Park there is a big band that plays swing music and when they need a break a dance instructor teaches you different swing dances. This event is littered with people of different back grounds and ages who are just there to learn and enjoy something that doesn't happen a lot. We never have dances with people of such wide age ranges and we never have the old school dances. Dancing is a chance to just let go and and grasp a powerful amount of joy and laughter. A simple google search proves my  point dancing is a true and steadfast way to express emotions. Here are some of my favorites:
There is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everybody a great deal of good.  ~Edwin Denby
I would believe only in a God that knows how to dance.  ~Friedrich Nietzsche
On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.

~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage

To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak.
  ~Hopi Indian Saying
 Dance is the hidden language of the soul.  ~Martha Graham

Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is not mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself.  ~Havelock Ellis

 There are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them.  ~Vicki Baum
 Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.  ~Author Unknown
 To dance is to be out of yourself.  Larger, more beautiful, more powerful.  ~Agnes De Mille
You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart.  ~Author Unknown
And I will close this post with a quote from Terri Guillemets, "Stifling an urge to dance is bad for your health - it rusts your spirit and your hips."
