My grandmother had dementia most of my childhood, so I don't really remember the amazing woman my grandmother was. But I do remember that my grandmother had an amazing eye for design and style. She whip out some of the most beautiful flower arrangements ever seen. She had a truly beautiful style. My grandmother was also one of my biggest supporters and I know she would love the idea of this blog and try to figure out how work a computer to read it. That would have been fun to watch. When I was young and just starting creating my own little arts and crafts projects I used to make button bracelets for everyone I know. I had a minor button
obsession, and it turns out I still do!So for Grandma I designed a flower made out of buttons. I made it in to a key chain so I would always carry a reminder of my grandma's love with me.
To create something similar to this you need:- Five buttons of a similar style or not your choice
- One big button as a back
- cool button for the center
- a lanyard
- the wonder tool.... a hot glue gun
- thin wire
- Steps
- thread the wire through the big button
- wrap wire around the bottom of the lanyard create a really strong hold (it might be beneficial to use a little hot glue as well on the back)
- glue small petal buttons around the edge of the bigger button. This is the most time consuming part and can be a little tricky. You have to hold your mouth just right
- glue your cool center button on
- let cool!
- share with someone you love or keep as a reminder of love!
