So in this time of new things I thought I would start another small new business. This is a craft party business. That meanings me hosting a party with crafts for birthday parties, club events, and other events. Each of the events will be costume designed by me with plenty of crafts and games.<br />
<br />
I love challenges and can't wait to come up with crafts for more difficult themes and make each party unique. Some ideas are favorite movie or book based parties, mythical creatures, fairies, "messy parties" (message me for more info), and nature parties. Parties can include jewelry making, painting, clay activities, and just about any other craft project you can think of.<br />
<br />
Every birthday party will include a group art piece for the birthday person and plenty of art for the attendees. I will also be glad to help create the invitations.<br />
<br />
If you are interested in having a Creating Wee party please email me @sarah.kessen@gmail.comskkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16953926425742284538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528749640079701192.post-22904921754310608372014-01-01T17:46:00.001-08:002014-01-01T17:46:46.608-08:002014So 2014 is here, and I started the year off well. I spent my day playing with clay and paint and faux flowers. One of my big goals for this coming year is to post more on my blog. I have made lots of things, I just haven't kept you apprise of them.<br />
On the topic of goals guess which girl has decided it's time to start selling at craft fairs? This oneGuess which girl is beyond nervous? This one again. Man you have a knack for guessing. I can't wait to keep you guys up to date with all the craziness around my first fair! Now I just have to go pick some tree branches... (you will find just have to wait)<br />

This is a simple project that will take 5 working minutes but a lot longer waiting time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT709zVA5h24gJ0qAmLHVg8m0_HA1OMQKGrvllBhv2FhAfcplJUv-wuf2MbXNjSoFV7WxFrVUOT8-QGBqLOjSB3fCm8jFC_JWlYshk8Pjgu0PUMqZsq1IYNVh0Y5Fs-40ocKPp4gKqXig/s1600/DSC_0198.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT709zVA5h24gJ0qAmLHVg8m0_HA1OMQKGrvllBhv2FhAfcplJUv-wuf2MbXNjSoFV7WxFrVUOT8-QGBqLOjSB3fCm8jFC_JWlYshk8Pjgu0PUMqZsq1IYNVh0Y5Fs-40ocKPp4gKqXig/s320/DSC_0198.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You start by painting a base color, which should be your lightest color.<br />
After your base color dries, place painters tape on top of where you want your base color to come through.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0t15o-KDnbX64_SZ5BVZfCxK95bdqz6aR_dRAQKna_Bspj30AGdKtSN1lX30SLedJEbDVAnSHXQ5Fy1xfZi8Lw0hgjzUZ3HIYPGfJhIN0jcVOwFmHgqaLuc8sgScKhPyIpHFKjHSEfg/s1600/DSC_0194.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0t15o-KDnbX64_SZ5BVZfCxK95bdqz6aR_dRAQKna_Bspj30AGdKtSN1lX30SLedJEbDVAnSHXQ5Fy1xfZi8Lw0hgjzUZ3HIYPGfJhIN0jcVOwFmHgqaLuc8sgScKhPyIpHFKjHSEfg/s320/DSC_0194.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Next, paint your next lightest color on top. Continue with these steps until you have used all of your colors!skkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16953926425742284538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528749640079701192.post-70704973446433403052013-11-18T11:25:00.000-08:002013-11-18T11:25:00.354-08:00Sunflower wreath My three favorite things in the world are glitter, sock monkeys, and sunflowers. One day when I was wandering the isles of target I found these awesome foam sunflower cut outs and they made it home with me. My door was looking very bare so I decided to make a sunflower wreath from them.<br />
I thought the orange and yellow centers made them look too sun like so I cut circles from a sparkly polka dot paper and glued them to the centers. Then, I just glued them in a circle and added some card board for support. Voila!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

They always have great laser cut ornaments there and this year they had a cool faux deer head. I fell in love with it. It was a perfect addition to our kitschy cabin feeling home. I had tons of ideas on how I wanted to decorate the deer, but I decided to go with a cool paper. Which of course led to more indecision. Once, I finally figured out which paper to use it was only a few minutes before I was done.<br />
<div>
I simply traced the deer head on the paper and then cut it out. Then, I mod podged it on. And done!<br />

The die-cut canvas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Wmv65mmOMorE8p4WQIJC6anukabdGcjfki-AAjr0OXg6n5S3AS3hc0T5XVLVEqgSQrTKpVvYmUk0f2gPc-3Rbn3wRpRjAwVFMndoHBayJyW9AltRFV-E3C4Js2BTYjk_csqjJTbUT7M/s1600/DSC_0199.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Wmv65mmOMorE8p4WQIJC6anukabdGcjfki-AAjr0OXg6n5S3AS3hc0T5XVLVEqgSQrTKpVvYmUk0f2gPc-3Rbn3wRpRjAwVFMndoHBayJyW9AltRFV-E3C4Js2BTYjk_csqjJTbUT7M/s320/DSC_0199.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
When I was going through my craft supplies I found a bunch of great glittered die-cuts that I had gathered along the way and I just knew they needed to go on my walls.<br />
I simply started them by painting a canvas a coordinating color. Then, I placed them on the canvas and mod podged them down. Because I am in to things not being symmetric I placed them in the corners of my canvas and had to trim things off of the canvas. I went ahead and did multiple coats of mod podge to make sure they stayed on the canvas. And voila a new art piece to go on the walls!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is another super easy wall decor project. I like it because you can include the color scheme of your room in one place and tie everything together with out a lot of work.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Steps:</div>
<div>
1: pick your colors</div>
<div>
2: put big spots of color on the canvas</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihedcl5ziBccsOxaq_aAZ2dwrI67mDEbUklSxh9g_3nsdyIifMLOoVutBzp7dJlJ_J0RZg63y9YrJkE5pLPYptWnQi-lETsnJw3ctdr5o4LcMg9nOqb8VWfq8-q48qY5xPWr1zex2n4fY/s1600/DSC_0207.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihedcl5ziBccsOxaq_aAZ2dwrI67mDEbUklSxh9g_3nsdyIifMLOoVutBzp7dJlJ_J0RZg63y9YrJkE5pLPYptWnQi-lETsnJw3ctdr5o4LcMg9nOqb8VWfq8-q48qY5xPWr1zex2n4fY/s320/DSC_0207.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
3: wrap canvas in tin foil</div>
<div>
4: smush the tin foil around on the canvas</div>
<div>
5: carefully remove tin foil</div>

This canvas actually came about on accident. I was working on another project (to be posted later) and involved, shockingly enough, foam brushes and many colors of paint. I have the tendency to over fill my brushes and of course on this day I did that very thing and before I cleaned the brush I stamped the extra out on paper. And it looked really cool.<br />
So I pulled a canvas out and went to town on it. It is really simple just stamp a foam brush straight down all over the canvas and in different colors. Don't fill too much of the canvas at a time.<br />

They make me so happy. But that typically means I have a lot of stickers and no projects for them. This time I had an idea; make them into art pieces. I am always looking for new cheap ways to adorn my walls. So, this is another cheap canvas piece. (And remember you can always make canvases out of boxes, just paint the box a base color and add supports)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5N57EyHRAYlC0G0LvCzdOQ0Cu9I4hugdR6HUQUa9dLH2YkKDVAPML4zMfbmwceA6rNV7gx2Svo4bhbgGIQXSeZw7okKitL77fuSKjAiE1KgHgMSTKKlKlnQiUflBT0sxoevAky8imVHk/s1600/DSC_0200.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="552" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5N57EyHRAYlC0G0LvCzdOQ0Cu9I4hugdR6HUQUa9dLH2YkKDVAPML4zMfbmwceA6rNV7gx2Svo4bhbgGIQXSeZw7okKitL77fuSKjAiE1KgHgMSTKKlKlnQiUflBT0sxoevAky8imVHk/s640/DSC_0200.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
To start this project do what you did for the die cut project and paint a coordinating color for the back ground. Then, when that is dry place your stickers. I glued them down with tacky glue. I did not mod podge the top because I used glittery stickers and I didn't want to dull the shimmer.skkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16953926425742284538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5528749640079701192.post-4397971773284520712013-11-05T18:05:00.000-08:002013-11-05T18:05:00.998-08:00Five (working) minute wallsso in upcoming posts I will give you some examples of easy wall art projects. So if you are in Nashville this weekend meet me at the bandshell in Centennial Park at 10:00 to give our support to some deserving kids!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6UDgyuMJbha4FaG0iXGKxlA4kLQfpr7xPlcpjTPI38gr3gCoQhFDiG9PqCOf3xIiZogKQyBtLL-41IxxwZV0S61JgpXZ8T5UXmFRsQC2DL9gOjMwOHLplfRNW9YN-RtlkkSffQVLgo0E/s1600/Adoption+Walk+Flyer+2013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6UDgyuMJbha4FaG0iXGKxlA4kLQfpr7xPlcpjTPI38gr3gCoQhFDiG9PqCOf3xIiZogKQyBtLL-41IxxwZV0S61JgpXZ8T5UXmFRsQC2DL9gOjMwOHLplfRNW9YN-RtlkkSffQVLgo0E/s640/Adoption+Walk+Flyer+2013.jpg" width="492" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now as you can see we have teams, well of course Family and Children's has a team and we are going to have a flag. And I painted our flag. </div>

This mirror is from one of those cheap mirrors you get at the drug store and I just update it to be a little more personal.<br />
<br />
Supplies:<br />
Mirror<br />
Glitter <span style="font-size: x-small;">(I suggest picking one color closer to the color of the mirror already and then an accent color; mine is black and purple)</span><br />
Mod Podge<span style="font-size: x-small;"> </span><br />
Rhinestones<br />
E6000<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
How to:<br />
1) Make glitter mixture<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>It should be 2 parts glitter 1 part Mod Podge</li>
<li>If you use two colors use about twice as much of the color close to the mirror than the accent </li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeA6oMFo8WQAvhEuyqjqXk2NKxxRn1GCSDIyjcl0K8tThB8ZO-y99LftFfXPjDHOpVfFGthfwDkEEsk3EUCXk3S_IKqej3HSJP8IB-l5ls3Ggm4SzF5an8lzmAk6GnxZtb5l1m-D313YI/s1600/DSC_0016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeA6oMFo8WQAvhEuyqjqXk2NKxxRn1GCSDIyjcl0K8tThB8ZO-y99LftFfXPjDHOpVfFGthfwDkEEsk3EUCXk3S_IKqej3HSJP8IB-l5ls3Ggm4SzF5an8lzmAk6GnxZtb5l1m-D313YI/s320/DSC_0016.JPG" width="185" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2) Paint the mixture on the mirror<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>this will take multiple coats and your should let each coat dry partially before adding another</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb4t17rE06SfxGO8xlhreCtWdUHhJEFvnrnt94Ri6GqSwgyMLEcQtX6Z6OuQsxXaRvau3UXu9tp46cQdnyTeF3a9UBLJgYQSa5QnfUfyYDfGVIbXsNvMUnYFJriv-tuv7AF4dLBZsYSio/s1600/DSC_0019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb4t17rE06SfxGO8xlhreCtWdUHhJEFvnrnt94Ri6GqSwgyMLEcQtX6Z6OuQsxXaRvau3UXu9tp46cQdnyTeF3a9UBLJgYQSa5QnfUfyYDfGVIbXsNvMUnYFJriv-tuv7AF4dLBZsYSio/s320/DSC_0019.JPG" width="232" /></a></div>
3) Cover with a coat of mod podge to seal it<br />
4) Glue rhinestones down with E6000<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>be considerate when doing this you don't want to distract too much from your beautiful face!</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is a project that involves holding your mouth right for most of it. It also takes a decent amount of time. Just a warning<br />
<br />
Supplies:<br />
Paint<br />
Metallic confetti<br />
Mod podge<br />
Foam brush<br />
<br />
How to:<br />
1) Paint the frame a good basic color because it will peak through<br />
2)Let dry<br />
3) Coat with mod podge<br />
4) Start sprinkling and covering the frame with the confetti<br />
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until desired affect is achieved<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>It will probably take a couple coats</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />

But that is not important now is the answer to the big question...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrwhqHGweq40jns6xyoSLoS5QbFk7ufBeXKZJc_CSDKevAqQREpzOKbEQZHCw6kNlx5z2BjcdxR6OMJVKAyl0ZUBQHZOOEM6lBf7NpfEXERtIorIjAYd2ACmh4gAKNbtokFr-EwI7zXGI/s1600/lion+dino.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrwhqHGweq40jns6xyoSLoS5QbFk7ufBeXKZJc_CSDKevAqQREpzOKbEQZHCw6kNlx5z2BjcdxR6OMJVKAyl0ZUBQHZOOEM6lBf7NpfEXERtIorIjAYd2ACmh4gAKNbtokFr-EwI7zXGI/s320/lion+dino.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
What did I do with those cool children's toys?<br />
I made bookends because imagination should never end and books help keep it alive.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A little different right?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a really easy change to make a really cool set of bookends.</div>

And I really love making things out of random things. And so, my new feature was born. A couple of times a month I will post a picture of something random that I am going craft with and a few days later I will post what I actually do. I am excited to hear what everyone thinks I am going to make!<br />
<br />
My first project involves these guys:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrD9GFITVxMEPlGP1_EWiMSFroeTsQXctbrezqEVgEzAqLNSPzpCqvalp3ACSYNYDalwhe97T4rAENfe0AeIkr9RH6WN8R6sslH0gSfFwOBZ9_7fWioske0UYh9v-rlZjtScjE0Bvylr8/s1600/lion+dino.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrD9GFITVxMEPlGP1_EWiMSFroeTsQXctbrezqEVgEzAqLNSPzpCqvalp3ACSYNYDalwhe97T4rAENfe0AeIkr9RH6WN8R6sslH0gSfFwOBZ9_7fWioske0UYh9v-rlZjtScjE0Bvylr8/s640/lion+dino.JPG" width="476" /></a></div>

This meant I could get my boxes of books out of my closet so I could use my closet for closet things. Luckily my parents had two bookshelves they were glad to give me. But, me being me, I could not have them look just anyway. So, I did a little bit more than a paint job.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImIkR_Lm7UljdDXWfPTS18l480kxPDjFhTeA-49bOADRxS1clvfAkUJhdnecGSxZlKJAjOza64QiK0YKoMlGmQJ656P5vVUXM9pEn344CmX9chvyvubuxc7NYw3uf5auXRSSaOUmJpes/s1600/DSC_0720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImIkR_Lm7UljdDXWfPTS18l480kxPDjFhTeA-49bOADRxS1clvfAkUJhdnecGSxZlKJAjOza64QiK0YKoMlGmQJ656P5vVUXM9pEn344CmX9chvyvubuxc7NYw3uf5auXRSSaOUmJpes/s320/DSC_0720.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Achieving this look is very simple, but it does take a few days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>What you need</b>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A bookshelf or more than one</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 shades of paint</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Paint brushes and whatever personal tools you need (drop cloth, painters tape, etc.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Cool paper (wallpaper is an option, but I already had some cool scrap book paper)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Modpodge</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Scissors </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Ruler</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sandpaper </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Step 1: Paint</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The first step is really basic: paint the bookshelf. When deciding which color to paint where, consider the purpose of the shelves, if it is for display mainly put the darker in the back and use the lighter as the primary color, but if it is for books, which will take up more space, use the lighter in the back because it will show up more than the dark. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdbfK7FR-sdJ8i6R5friyXN-f5EYQPElCy4gmd7jme6fLYN0iO4kpOzScJG7Nj01zGSQIW3EyTBHn1VPEJmd4ELOahbUe48b_QVQF7WwvhHpKQXk9gQN7-74kZQsvl1pdUXBBhClx-iEw/s1600/DSC_0721.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdbfK7FR-sdJ8i6R5friyXN-f5EYQPElCy4gmd7jme6fLYN0iO4kpOzScJG7Nj01zGSQIW3EyTBHn1VPEJmd4ELOahbUe48b_QVQF7WwvhHpKQXk9gQN7-74kZQsvl1pdUXBBhClx-iEw/s320/DSC_0721.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(I have lots of books)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with the back, but realistically you could paint either first. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Step 2: Paper topping</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This was actually not something that I planned to do, but I am happy with how it turned out. After measuring the top, I cut the my paper to 4x4 pieces (you can change the size based on your preferances) and placed them on the top and messed around with the patterns until I liked the way it looked. Then, I glued them down. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdXzmmGQzrnxjrYwLqB-ksNso68gBri64df2wm1-w-9ze9DG4UugWrMsNH65slrKhSFAwMkqta6PQM4lvCuQNxqIvJDSMAoDX22Xt-mcJuv3oEvLeJ7Za75ZqOQLTHLwNJj5Qo9BzWwM/s1600/DSC_0719.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdXzmmGQzrnxjrYwLqB-ksNso68gBri64df2wm1-w-9ze9DG4UugWrMsNH65slrKhSFAwMkqta6PQM4lvCuQNxqIvJDSMAoDX22Xt-mcJuv3oEvLeJ7Za75ZqOQLTHLwNJj5Qo9BzWwM/s320/DSC_0719.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Step 3: Kinda continuation of step 2</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I was picking out my papers I found some beautiful small designs that were stand alone that I really liked, so I cut them free and placed them randomly on the shelves and then glued them down again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Step 4: Sanding</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Even though I liked the look of my shelves as they were I wanted a little more of a rustic look to my bookshelves. So, I used the standard antiquing technic of sanding. I strategically sanded to make the shelves a little more my aesthetic. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZd7Ieo6D-4umcTrshJeFqUS0-Gi_9rOond3WjCsVnFv76ToFc02e9BhfxB8btp3oN3QcKfFN0DB4G1PfAUU4VhPuzzaO45AOVbA_QTFFwxgGF5i9B35KoUiyMJwt8osA-CU5PFOy3-hc/s1600/DSC_0715.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZd7Ieo6D-4umcTrshJeFqUS0-Gi_9rOond3WjCsVnFv76ToFc02e9BhfxB8btp3oN3QcKfFN0DB4G1PfAUU4VhPuzzaO45AOVbA_QTFFwxgGF5i9B35KoUiyMJwt8osA-CU5PFOy3-hc/s320/DSC_0715.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
See simple. Now go and update something in your house. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Love,</div>

It is so hard to wrap my head around that thought. Since, I have been home I have slept A LOT, told tons of stories, and started on some new projects.<br />
<br />
While in Europe I found my heart and eyes drawn towards flowers and gardens. So, a few days after my return to Nashvegas my mother and I went on a trip to the nursery and she helped me pick out some easy to grow flowers. I also decided I really wanted to grow succulents. These are what my pots look like:<br />

We had five days to explore the City of Lights, but two of my friends and I decided to cut the number of days to four and visit Rome for a day. I know a day in Rome is crazy, but it was amazing. We got to wander around the streets of Rome adn be astounded by the city's beauty.<br />

It is so wonderful walking around a city that is so vibrante and historic. There are literally ruins everywhere. </div>

The next few days we wandered the streets of Paris. The three of us continued to explore together and we added two boys. I am not the biggest fan of Paris, but this was the best trip of the semester for me. We had so much fun. We did not push to do anything and just took the trip as it came. That is the way to travel. </div>

Lawrence's homes, and spent time with some really cool and talented people over the last five weeks, am I exhausted? Yes. Am I ready to be home? Yes. Am I headed home? No.<br />
<br />
Next, up is four days in Paris and a day in Rome. So, basically I am going to be exhausted and stuffed when I get home. I hope to have internet at my hotel so keep checking in for more updates.<br />

One of my friends from my writing class and I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, which words cannot describe how cool it is so pictures most.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeIT1r4DOd8YAZ1XHECEJ-lBo5AYMdIIXzLhgVdYIjmQWfz3mndsEbSvu9rCWSeOj0YjBEEi5_0kAMCbkdZrgbFq6OrDw3OexstBtnnENLPFlgw62REXPviIa1ulVByVykYiyvEXwf-zQ/s1600/Harry+Potter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeIT1r4DOd8YAZ1XHECEJ-lBo5AYMdIIXzLhgVdYIjmQWfz3mndsEbSvu9rCWSeOj0YjBEEi5_0kAMCbkdZrgbFq6OrDw3OexstBtnnENLPFlgw62REXPviIa1ulVByVykYiyvEXwf-zQ/s640/Harry+Potter.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Side note: Butterbeer is delicious.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After that lovely stop I was supposed to wait for my traveling companion (the girl I went to HPST with was going somewhere else, and other companion was not feeling HP) at one of the tube stops. I love the London Tube. It feels a little dangerous and super cool, like something James Dean would love, don't judge me. However, after 45 minutes of waiting I assumed my companion was at our next stop. He was not. At this point I was beyond annoyed and decided to head on the boyfriend's parents house. I know I should have waited more, but I didn't. Companion called me half through my ride and we eventually met up at the house. It all worked out fine and I had a relaxing day at boyfriend's house. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And then it wasn't relaxing. After traveling back into London, I discovered I had booked my tickets for a completely different day and there were no more trains to Grantham. I panicked and for awhile we thought we would stay up all night in a McDonalds, then we thought better of it and called boyfriend's father who graciously let us stay another night at their house. The next morning he even drove us back to the manor.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, when it comes down to it, it was still a great weekend.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Peace,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
